Positioning services are performed as part of MMT high-resolution surveys or as a consultancy service for installation and construction assignments.

Onboard all MMTs survey vessels Applanix PosMV is used with multiple reference stations such as C-nav, RTK solutions and Crescent Hemisphere.

High-resolution underwater positioning is achieved by IXSEA GAPS or Kongsberg HiPap systems in water depths down to 2000 metres. The ROV:s and towed vehicles are equipped with IMU:S as PHINS from IXSEA and Minipos from CDL together with an TOGS laser compass or a Doppler velocity log.

MMT has been developing positioning software in the past twenty years. The latest version of the program is called Aron 2010 and operates in the Windows XP environment. The product can be purchased from MMT and today is used by several companies in Sweden as well as by the Swedish Navy.
