ROV inspection

MMT offers underwater inspection with Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). We operate inspection units as well as work-class ROVs. Typical tasks are inspections of existing marine infrastructure, such as cables and pipelines. The ROV is also a tool for seabed mapping and object detection. ROV work is performed as engineering support from our own vessels or a mobile container-based system

Our Comanche Work-Class ROV benefits from enhanced capabilities provided by a powerful control system, proportional work-class manipulator arms, tooling hydraulic system, survey interfaces and generous payload capacity. The ROV payload capacity is sufficient for multibeam echosounder, cable tracker, side-scan sonar, magnetometers etc.

Our ROV fleet presently consists of:

1 SubAtlantic Comanche small work class ROV
2 SubAtlantic Mohican inspection – light survey ROV
1 Ocean Modules V8 inspection ROV
2 Ac-cess SP50 penetration/inspection ROVs

Our FOCUS-2, a Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle (ROTV), provides stable platforms for side-scan sonar as well as other equipment. Typical tasks are pipeline inspections and detailed monitoring of seabed conditions.

Examples of recent ROV inspections:
•    NordStream. Gas pipeline pre-lay inspection, gradiometer survey and mine clearance operations, Baltic Sea, 2007-
•    DAWAB SVERIGE AB. Pipeline inspection, Gothenburg Alelyckan, 2010
•    DONG Energy A/S . Acoustic and ROV Survey Pipeline Inspection Services, North Sea, Danish Sector, 2010
