MMT has conducted seabed surveys for several marine parks. In 1998 we performed site surveys for Horns Rev, one of the largest marine wind parks in the world. Over the years we have conducted seabed mapping projects for over 20 planned marine wind parks covering a total of 1300 planned wind turbines. MMT perform geophysical surveys to provide bathymetry, seabed features and sub-bottom condition information for input to turbine foundation planning processes. Instruments used during the survey are multibeam echo sounder, side-scan sonar, magnetometer, sub-bottom profilers such as chirp and geo-sparker.
We also conduct environmental surveys to provide environmental and habitat information within the wind farm development site as well as geotechnical investigations by using vibrocorer and CPT.
