Orion Workshop at MMT’s head office
We recently hosted a workshop regarding our latest cable detection system. The event was held at our head office in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Together with Optimal Ranging and invited clients from the oil and gas and cable sector, a discussion was held about the latest development in offshore cable tracking and positioning. Jim Waite of Optimal Ranging held a presentation of the ORION system which is capable of tracking cables and pipelines with high accuracy. An evaluation of the cable tracking performed for previous projects where we used the system was presented and upcoming difficulties was discussed.
Martin Wikmar, MMT’s Operation and Technology Director, comments on the workshop: “The collaboration with Optimal Ranging started in April 2014 and we at MMT are very happy to be the first owner of the ORION system. This new depth of burial tool will bring an effective solution to our clients.”
